This Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Policy document is prepared against a backdrop of rapidly changing technologies and shifting user expectations. Competition in the higher education sector, along with the emergence of new technologies, appears to have effectively stimulated improvements in ICT provisions and applications for course delivery and services to students and staff. Both of these areas are critical to the university’s success in realising its vision. Mon-Thu (1pm-2pm)
Friday (1230pm-230pm)

Welcome

Welcome to the Centre for Information and Communication Technology Services (CICTS). CICTS was formed in April 2001. Two different functional IT services entities, namely, Computer and Networking Services Unit (CNS) and Management Information Services Division (MIS) were restructured and merged under CICTS in the establishment exercise.

CICTS is playing a major role in providing ICT services throughout the university, which covers hardware, software, networks, and all issues where ICT services are concerned. Apart from that, CICTS is also involved in planning the development and creating ICT awareness amongst staff and students in Unimas.

CICTS comprises of 3 main divisions, namely:

  • Quality Assurance Division
  • Infrastructure Division
  • Application Division

In addition the General Administration unit supports CICTS with the administrative tasks.
